“If you have sensitive skin (Hi, that’s me), you might be hesitant to pull the trigger on getting microbladed (also me) microshading, the beloved brow technique’s softer, gentler little sister. I’m so happy I found an option. I’m obsessed with my brows.” – Dallas

Brow Boss

Tonya graduated from the most renowned academies in the world, and it is with adoration that she has exercised her profession for over 13 years in PMU and over 20 years as a Master Aesthetician.

With all the knowledge she’s collected from numerous trainings and thousands of procedures, she has developed and perfected her very sought-after signature Brow style, which is very natural brows that enhance the person’s face, that lasts and looks better over time.

At a young age, Tonya was fortunate enough to find her calling. She started in the beauty industry in 1994 and craved the gratification of making people look and feel better about them-selves. Strangely enough, she has always had an obsession with eyebrows. After being a Licensed Aesthetician since 2003 and practicing cosmetic tattooing since 2010, she caught wind of microblading and Hybrid brows. Tonya instantly attended advance training with Master Trainer/Educator Joyce Cirasuola in Williston, FL and later joined a one on one training with Master Trainer/Educator Gina Maya Huskin, Chicago Academy of Permanent Makeup in Algonquin, IL. One of Tonya’s personal PMU Mentors since the beginning of time is Dr. Linda H. Dixon MD, Keolu HI. In 2023 Tonya trained with the world’s best PMU Artists at the PMU conferences in Vegas.

Tonya perfected and having mastered PMU Brows. She was the very 1st in providing Microblading in Appleton, WI with clients that will and still travel many hours to see her. Along with Tonya’s professional credentials she also has affiliations with local reputable Doctors at RefineMD, Dr. Parfit at Aesthetica and Dr. Lisa Allen at Ambiance MD since 2010. She is now a Master Certified Trainer taking student.

What’s the difference microshading verses microblading

If you have sparse brows and love the look of lightly or heavy filled-in brows, this is for you! MICROSHADING also known as Powder Dust, or Feathery Brows. great for those with oily, sensitive or mature skin. Perfect machine pixel dot technique is used to powder shade in a new perfectly shaped brows. Our favorite is a natural-dusting feathery brow with some demention.

MICROBLADING uses a bladed needle to apply pigmentation underneath the skin. The technician fills your brows by making hair-like strokes that look like natural eyebrow hair.

Pro’s microshading | powder
  • Resembles eyebrow powder
  • Creates thicker, fuller eyebrows
  • Ideal for sensitive, oily skin, sun damage or mature skin
  • Can create a light powder dusting in the brow or go bolder
Pro’s microblading
  • Hair-like strokes looks like real hairs
  • Fills and changes the shape of your brows
  • Ideal for dry skin
Hybird brows | Tonya’s signature brows

Cocktailing both world together a combination of Microblading and microshading (blade + shade). Adding a definition technique to detail and enhance to brow shape.

Pros: The combination of microbladed hair strokes and a powder fill gives an incredibly natural looking brow. It’s a bit more defined and filled in than just straight microbladed brows.

Who is it best for: We really love this technique for everyone to be honest. All brows are customized specifically for each individual client based on their desired look, skin type, coloring, bone structure etc. There are no two clients with the same brow design.

Pigments used

We have used several pigment lines since 2010. We use one of the best pigment line in the market with safety as it #1 priority. The inks are comprised of the highest quality ingredients and have a very high light fastness which means as the ink ages in the skin they “should’ not discolor. Leaving a soft appearance that blends naturally with the skin. These inks are known for their stability, longevity and reliability. Cruelty free never tested on animals and certified vegan.

How long does it last

PMU brow procedure results vary person to person. Usually, lasts about 1 to 3 years, although you typically need a touch-up or color boost every 8-18 months. Generally the results are amazing but it very much depends on your own skin type, texture and oiliness. After care must be taken seriously!

How long does it take

Your PMU Brow sessions are broken up into two appointments – the first appointment and then 4 to 6 week perfecting session. Both included in the price.

First treatment
  • Please allow up to 1.5 hours for your first PMU Brow appointment to be completed
  • Before pictures and discussion about your desired look, color and shape
  • Topical numbing cream is applied (this is the strongest numbing with a prescription from a Doctor associate)
  • Brow hairs will be tinted and to see clearly what your have for brow hairs. We like to use as much of your natural brow hairs as possible
  • Measurements, and brow shape creation will be revealed for approval.  We have a customized brow template that’s used with in the creative brow design
  • Most of this time is spent waiting for numbing to take effect and measuring and balancing the brows, working together to get the best final shape
  • Once finished, you’ll discuss aftercare (THIS IS LIKE 80% OF YOUR HEALING RESULTS
  • Finally after pictures are captured to compare
Perfecting session

We will see you in 4-6 weeks for your perfecting session. The time between appointments gives the skin time to heal and let the color settle. We will see how your skin has held the healed pigment results.  Any adjustments to color or shape will be done at this time as needed. But really this appointment is exactly as described- it’s all about the perfecting your new brows. Because everyone’s skin heals differently with different results the same amount of time will be scheduled for this session.

Your perfecting session cannot exceed 60 days from your first procedure date or a charge of $175 will be charged.

Healing

Healing usually takes about a week. However, please allow a few days if you have an event or special occasion coming up. Do NOT micro-analyze your brows until 30 days that’s when you will know your completely healed pigment results.  Your new permanent eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

MICROSHADING | POWDER | DUSTING

MICROSHADING | POWDER

BLADE | BLADE + SHADE

Pictures are taken immediately after the procedure and results can lighten 30%-70%.

WARNING the pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually, and you may see some pigment on your towel after washing your face, or on your pillowcase – do not be alarmed all normal.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, your brows may look like they have dandruff flakes, dry skin or scabbing. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly; however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. After a couple days, this will subside. Don’t pick or scratch. Let it go through its healing process. Once completely healed, it’s highly advise to apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun, as sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly.

Does it hurt

In a word, maybe. But not that much. Numbing cream is used liberally throughout the procedure and it’s more uncomfortable than painful. Topical anesthetic works great for most people however; in case it doesn’t work great for you it is recommended to take a few TYLENOL, 30 minutes before your procedure.

How long does it last

Everyone’s skin is different so it greatly depends on your skin composition and your healing process. No guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit the same as another from this procedure. Other factors that play a role in longevity are skin color, the pigment used, how aggressive your immune system is in metabolizing the pigment.  Factors such as sun exposure, smoking, AHA’s (lactic, glycolic, citric, retinoic and tartaric acids) or any OTC creams and lotions for tone correcting, anti-aging, exfoliating, or lightening the skin can cause your PMU Brows to fade stay clear of the brows.

Choosing a color

All skin undertones are different, we do not believe in a “one size fits all”.  We work with your skins under tone to give you the best natural results based on the color and undertones of your skin. We will choose the color that is perfect for you.
