Contraindications – Microneedling
At Infinique Skin, your safety and skin health are our top priorities. While Microneedling and PRP Microneedling are safe for most clients, certain conditions may prevent you from being a candidate for treatment.
General Microneedling contraindications

- Active acne, open wounds, or cold sores in the treatment area
- Eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis flare-ups
- History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
- Recent sunburn or excessive sun exposure
- Recent use of Accutane (within the past 6–12 months)
- Recent Botox or dermal fillers (wait at least 2 weeks)
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- Autoimmune disorders affecting healing
- Use of blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, warfarin)
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active skin infections or inflammation
- History of poor wound healing
