Contraindications
MicroneedleRX is not suitable for clients who have or are experiencing:
• Active acne, open wounds, or active skin infections (including cold sores)
• History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
• Eczema, psoriasis, or other uncontrolled skin disorders in the treatment area
• Current use of Accutane (within the past 6–12 months)
• Use of blood-thinning medications or clotting disorders
• Uncontrolled diabetes or other systemic medical conditions that affect healing
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Recent sunburn, tanning bed use, or chemical peel (within 2 weeks)
• Botox, fillers, or laser treatments (within 2 weeks in the same area)
All contraindications will be reviewed during consultation prior to treatment.
What to Expect
- Treatment time: 60 minutes
- Minimal downtime: redness and sensitivity for 24–48 hours
- Most clients return to normal activities the next day
- Results improve progressively with a series of treatments
Aftercare
Following MicroneedleRX, proper aftercare ensures optimal healing and results:
• Do not touch, rub, or pick at the treated area for 48 hours
• Avoid makeup for 24 hours
• Use only gentle cleanser and hydrating serums recommended by your provider for the first 72 hours
• Avoid active skincare (retinols, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, Vitamin C) for at least 5–7 days
• No saunas, hot tubs, or strenuous workouts that cause sweating for 48 hours
• Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 1 week; always apply SPF after healing begins
• Do not schedule waxing, chemical peels, or laser treatments in the treated area for 2 weeks
• Stay hydrated and use medical-grade SPF daily to protect your results
